You could use your PC or a mobile phone. It does not depend on the Internet, instead uses the mobile phone network to reach your prospects all over the world quite easily. This then is a very useful tool in your direct mailing efforts. The type of message does not matter as long as it meets the size of short messaging norms imposed by the cellular networks. It could be event alert and notifications, greeting messages, invitations, product promotions and so on. It is just the imagination that limits how this could be used. Meeting notifications and reminders about the upcoming meeting can be sent out periodically.

This utility is Unicode compatible; hence you could send messages in any language you would prefer. The editor is quite flexible and helps create those messages easily. In general, it is easy to use and just about anybody would be able to master it quickly. The tool helps manage the address list too. It will detect duplicates and skip sending message to them. Short delays could be introduced periodically during the transmission cycle so that you do not overload the local cellular network. This is quite good and handy product.
